Installation Steps for the Chlorine Dioxide Generator

Installation & Precautions

The correct installation and use of the chlorine dioxide generator are crucial for the efficient operation and safety of the equipment. Choosing an appropriate installation location and ensuring tight pipeline connections can effectively prevent leaks and operational failures, while also ensuring the stability of the equipment's operation. The power supply connection must comply with regulations, and a good ventilation design can significantly reduce safety hazards caused by improper equipment operation. In addition, it is important to prevent the equipment from being exposed to high temperatures, avoid contact with flammable materials, and conduct regular inspections and maintenance. This not only helps to extend the lifespan of the equipment but also ensures the efficiency of chlorine dioxide generation and disinfection effectiveness.

Installation Conditions
  • The equipment should be installed indoors to avoid direct sunlight, and the working environment should be maintained at 5 °C – 40 °C.
  • Since chlorine dioxide is highly corrosive, the equipment should not be installed in the same room as other electrical devices. A dedicated equipment room should be established for installation.
  • The equipment room floor should be covered with cement (preferably with floor tiles) and equipped with a water source for cleaning and a drainage system.
  • The equipment room should be well-ventilated, as chlorine dioxide gas is heavier than air; therefore, exhaust fans should be installed near the lower part of the walls.
  • The equipment room should be equipped with a pressurized water source, with a water pipe diameter of DN≥25, water pressure of 0.2 MPa – 0.5 MPa, and the dosing point pipe diameter of DN≥25 (for equipment under 1000g), and the pipe length should not exceed 100 meters. The dosing pipe should not be elevated, and the dosing point should not have pressure.
  • The equipment room should have necessary lighting facilities and a 220V, 10A power switch.
Installation Steps & Precautions

Installation Steps

  1. Determine the dosing point for the disinfectant; the dosing point should not have pressure, and the length of the connecting pipe between the dosing point and the equipment should not exceed 100 meters.
  2. Place the equipment in a proper position, ensuring that it is at least 0.5 meters away from the wall for easy maintenance. Connect the deuctor's suction inlet to the equipment's chemical outlet (if pre-connected at the factory, please check and tighten it).
  3. Install according to the equipment installation diagram.
  4. Connect motive water with a pressure greater than 0.15 MPa to the inlet and check the installation.
  5. Connect the outlet to the dosing point and check the installation.
  6. The materials for the inlet and outlet pipes are UPVC. Please use UPVC fittings and UPVC-specific adhesive during the connection process.
  7. Install the air intake pipe, using a pipe with a diameter of φ20 or above, and connect it outdoors at a height of more than 2 meters. Avoid installing it in areas with frequent pedestrian traffic or work, and check the installation.
  8. Connect the power supply line, signal line (select signal lines for residual chlorine or flow instruments, or remote control), etc., and check whether the wiring is correct.

Installation Precautions

  • The installation location of the equipment should generally be chosen close to the tap water source and in a position that is relatively convenient for operation. During installation, attention should be paid to leaving a certain amount of space for maintenance.
  • For components that have been assembled at the factory, they should be rechecked after unpacking, and any loose components should be tightened.
  • The connection between the eductor and the equipment's outlet should use hard PVC pipes.
  • The generator's air intake pipe should be connected to an outdoor ventilation area, with an outlet height of 2 meters, and it must ensure unobstructed airflow. It is strictly prohibited to install it in areas where people frequently walk or work!
