Activated carbon filter media is a commonly used water treatment material, which is used in activated carbon filters in the pre-treatment process. Features

High adsorption capacity. Activated carbon filter media has a strong adsorption capacity, which can effectively remove organic matter, odors, pigments, heavy metals, and other pollutants in water.
Large specific surface area. Activated carbon filter media has a large surface area . Typically the specific surface area of activated carbon per gram is up to several hundred to several thousand square meters. This allows it to have better contact and adsorption of pollutants.
Good porous structure. Activated carbon filter media has abundant micropores and mesopores, which provide more adsorption sites and enhanced adsorption capacity.
Long-lasting use. Activated carbon filter media has a relatively long service life, generally ranging from several months to several years, depending on water quality and usage.

Classification

Coconut shell activated carbon. Made from carefully selected coconut shells, high-purity coconut shell granular activated carbon is obtained after carbonization, steam activation, and pickling. It is mainly used in the ultra-pure water systems of the semiconductor industry, POE and POU water treatment, beer and beverage industry water treatment, and food industry water treatment.
Coal-based activated carbon. Made from high-quality bituminous coal, high-quality coal-based activated carbon is obtained after carbonization and steam activation. It is mainly used for drinking water treatment, ultra-pure water treatment, and food water treatment.
Wood-based activated carbon. Selecting high-quality wood chips as raw materials and using advanced activation technology for production, this activated carbon has large surface area, strong adsorption capacity, and fast filtration speed. It is mainly used in the wine, beverage, beer decolorization, liquor industry, brewing industry, etc. It offer excellent effects on the impurities adsorption and water quality purification.
