Welded Flanges – Achieving Successful Pipe Connection

Welded flanges are a common method of pipe connection. They are connected to pipes and equipment interfaces by welding. They can withstand high pressure and high temperature, and have good sealing performance to ensure the safe operation of the pipeline system. In addition, flange connections allow for easy installation and disassembly, facilitating maintenance work on the pipeline system.

A flat flange
  • The butt joint between the end of the welded pipe and the outer ring of the flange is welded when welding the flat flange.
  • Suitable for low-pressure, non-critical piping systems, featuring simple and fast.
  • Pressure range: 150CL–9000CL, PN10–PN160
  • Made of stainless steel or special alloy steel, it has excellent corrosion resistance, and can resist corrosion media such as oxidation, acidity, alkalinity, and salt solution.
A butt weld neck flange
  • The butt weld neck flange has a relatively long neck, which is connected to the pipe by welding.
  • Widely used in high temperature and high pressure pipe connections.
  • Pressure range: 150CL–9000CL, PN10–PN160
  • Made of stainless steel or special alloy steel, it has excellent corrosion resistance, and can resist corrosion media such as oxidation, acidity, alkalinity, and salt solution.
A flat-face-weld-neck-flange
  • The flat-face-weld-neck-flange has a relatively short neck. After inserting the neck into the flange, welding is performed on the outside of the pipe end.
  • The stiffness and load-bearing capacity of the flange have been improved, but compared with butt weld neck flange, it is not suitable for high temperature and high pressure working environments.
  • Pressure range: 150CL–9000CL, PN10–PN160
  • Made of stainless steel, duplex steel, or special alloy steel, it has excellent corrosion resistance, and can resist the erosion of corrosive media such as oxidation, acidity, alkalinity, and salt solution.
1 Socket Weld Flange
  • The socket weld flange inserts the end of the pipe into the flange ring step, and the flange is welded on the pipe end and the outside.
  • Usually used for low pressure or general industrial pipeline systems
  • Pressure range: 150CL–9000CL, PN10–PN160
  • Made of materials such as stainless steel, duplex steel, or special alloy steel, it has excellent corrosion resistance, and can resist the erosion of corrosive media such as oxidation, acidity, alkalinity, and salt solution.
Functions
Welded flanges for pipe connections

Flanges are a kind of pipe fittings used to connect two pipes or a pipe and equipment, allowing fluid to be transferred between them. It is welded to ensure a stronger and tighter connection, and can withstand high pressure and high temperature. It is usually suitable for high pressure, high temperature, or pipelines with high sealing requirements.
