SN Series EDI Module – Two-In-Two-Out Structural Design

The SN series EDI module is specifically designed for industrial applications, capable of reliably producing high-purity water with stable quality, without interruption due to regeneration, and is widely used in the power, electronics, food and beverage industries, as well as in laboratories.

The SN series EDI modules have significantly reduced requirements for feed water quality, are resistant to acids and bases, and can undergo unlimited chemical cleaning. The product water quality reaches above 16 MΩ and can remain stable above 16 MΩ for an extended period.

A direct current (DC) electric field applied across the anode (+) and cathode (-) at both ends of the EDI module drives the rapid migration of ions on the surface of the ion exchange resin, allowing cations and anions to selectively permeate through the cation/anion exchange membranes into the concentrate chamber. In specific areas of the freshwater chamber, the splitting of water can generate a large amount of H+ and OH-, and under the influence of the direct current electric field, H+ and OH- displace the inorganic salt ions bound to the exhausted resin, completing regeneration and achieving continuous, efficient operation.
