
Float flowmeter, also known as a rotameter, is a device used to measure the flow rate of liquid or gas in a closed conduit. It operates on the principle of a float, usually a tapered, cylindrical, or spherical object, which rises or falls within a vertically oriented, transparent tube according to the fluid flow rate.
