Flow Calibration Columns: Key to Achieving High Precision in Liquid Flow Measurement

A Flow Calibration Column is a device used for measuring and calibrating the flow rate in liquid flow systems. It is typically made from transparent materials, such as PVC or glass, allowing for the observation of the liquid flow. The column is marked with graduations, enabling the direct reading of the volume of liquid passing through the column, thereby calculating the flow rate. This equipment is highly practical in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing, and water treatment, especially in applications where high accuracy in flow measurement is required. The flow calibration column is widely used for the flow calibration of dosing pumps and dosing devices, and it can accurately calibrate the output flow of the dosing pump.

Flow Calibration Column Selection

The selection of the flow calibration column is determined by the pump's flow rate and calibration time requirements. For example, if the pump's flow rate is 60 L/h, and the customer needs to calibrate the flow for 0.5-1 min, then the calculated flow per minute should be 60L÷60=1L, so a calibration column with a volume of 1L can be chosen. If calibration is required every 30 seconds, a 0.5L volume column should be used.
