Metal Gate Valve – Controlling Medium Flow by Lifting the Gate Vertically

The metal gate valve, a highly efficient bidirectional sealing on-off valve, is widely used across various industries. It controls the flow of the medium by sliding a gate plate within the passage (hence the name "gate valve").

A key characteristic of the gate valve is its straight-through flow path. When fully open, the gate rises above the flow passage, allowing for unobstructed flow with minimal turbulence and pressure drop.

Gate valves are an excellent choice when these performance features are required on-site. However, they are not suitable for being used as control valves and should only be used for on-off operations.
