Metal Globe Valves have Good Throttling Performance

All metal globe valves on the principle of "blocking the flow path" by using a disc to control the medium flowing through a specific passage area (unlike the conventional passage design of gate valves).

Due to their non-straight-through flow paths, globe valves typically have higher flow resistance, making them suitable for small to medium diameters and applications where fluid resistance requirements are not stringent.

Globe valves offer two key advantages: throttling and high-frequency switching. The medium flows evenly around the disc rather than through a narrow, specific area, giving the valve excellent throttling performance.
