Installation and Filter Replacement Steps for High-Flow Stainless Steel Precision Filters
Installation & Precautions
High-flow stainless steel precision filters play a crucial role in various industrial processes, especially in situations where clean and pure media are needed to protect downstream equipment. The precision filter can support different filter elements to remove fine particles from liquids or gases, ensuring process stability and product quality. Proper installation and regular replacement of high-flow stainless steel precision filters are essential for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and quality of industrial processes. This not only helps maintain optimal operation of the equipment but also ensures that the final product meets the expected quality standards.
When the pressure gauge value of the high-flow filtration system reaches the recommended replacement pressure difference or is lower than the initial pressure difference, and the flow meter value is lower than the system's water demand or higher than the maximum flow rate of the filter element, it is necessary to replace the new high-flow filter element in a timely manner. The steps for correctly installing the high-flow stainless steel precision filter and replacing the high-flow filter element are as follows:
- Before installing the high-flow stainless steel precision filter, make sure that the filter housing is compatible with the filtrate, and that the filter housing can withstand the working temperature and pressure requirements of the filtration system.
- Remove and save the parts such as the exhaust valve, drain valve, pressure gauge, and pressure plate inside the high-flow precision filter housing. Close the filter cover, and then install the exhaust valve, drain valve, and pressure gauge. Open the exhaust valve and drain valve.
- Make sure that the stainless steel precision filter housing is in a shutdown state. Close the upstream inlet valve and downstream outlet valve of the filter housing. Connect the fixed inlet flange and inlet pipe, as well as the outlet flange and outlet pipe.
- When installing the high-flow filter element, rinse the inside of the stainless steel filter housing directly with clean water. After the water in the filter housing is discharged from the sewage outlet, close the drain valve. When replacing the high-flow filter element, first open the vent valve to release the pressure on the filter housing, then open the top cover of the stainless steel filter housing, and take out the high-flow cartridge filter that needs to be replaced. Rinse the inside of the filter housing with clean water until the sewage is discharged, and then close the drain valve.
- Open the packaging bag of the high-flow filter element, lubricate the sealing ring with suitable lubricant, and then hold the handle at one end of the high-flow filter element with your hand, and install the filter element into the stainless steel filter housing, ensuring that the sealing ring and the sealing ring groove of the filter housing are tightly in contact.
- If there is a pressure plate, place it first, tighten the pressure plate nut to secure it, cover the outer shell of the high-flow filter, and tighten the clamp.
- Start the high-flow filtration system, gently open the inlet valve on the stainless steel filter housing to allow the liquid to enter and fill the outer shell of the high-flow filter until the liquid overflows from the exhaust port, then close the exhaust valve.
- Slowly open the outlet valve on the lower part of the stainless steel filter housing until it is fully open, then slowly adjust the inlet valve on the upper part of the filter housing until the pressure difference between the upper and lower parts of the filter housing reaches the initial pressure difference specified for the high-flow filter element.
Precautions:
- Make sure there are no leaks at the drain valve, exhaust valve, pressure gauge, and flange connections of the stainless steel filter housing, as it will affect the filtration effect.
- When replacing the high-flow filter element, you must first open the exhaust valve to release the pressure inside the stainless steel filter housing, otherwise it may pose a danger to the operator due to excessive pressure inside the housing.
- When installing the stainless steel filter housing, the inlet/outlet flanges of the housing must be correctly connected to the inlet/outlet pipes. If installed incorrectly, the high-flow filtration system will not achieve the desired filtration effect and may cause irreversible damage to the high-flow filter element.
- When installing or replacing the high-flow filter element, the sealing ring of the filter cartridge must be in full contact with the sealing groove of the stainless steel filter housing. The sealing ring should not be exposed or damaged, otherwise it may cause leakage due to poor sealing effect, resulting in a decrease in the filtration efficiency of the filtration system.
You can follow the above steps to install and replace the high-flow stainless steel precision filter to ensure the effective operation of the precision filter.
